Florence R. Ouellette, 78, of formerly of Plymouth, died August 4, 2015 at Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, after a hard fought battle with a long illness. Born June 24, 1937, in Plymouth, NH to Ernest and Evelyn (Adams) Robinson. Florence grew up in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School. She travelled around the world with her husband Leo, who was serving in the U.S. Air Force, ultimately settling back in Plymouth to raise their family. Florence owned & operated Sunshine Laundries for many years, before moving out to Las Vegas, Nevada. In Las Vegas, Florence worked for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, mentoring inmates in the county jail detention center laundry. Florence attended as many school functions and sporting events as possible to support her children. Always the social butterfly, Flo spearheaded many class reunions including the largest one of all during the 100th Anniversary of Plymouth High School in 1983, where all former graduates were welcome. She was born to be a mother, not only to her biological children but, too many “adopted” kids as well. For years, she hosted many post PHS football game soirees in her home cooking up gallons of baked beans or chili. Florence’s passion for gardening brought about some of the best tomatoes, cucumbers, & flowers to any home, she lived in. She enjoyed the love & companionship of many animals in her life. She adored bird and wildlife watching, loved chocolate chip cookies, and endured horse racing. She was a rabid NE Patriots fan, a lifelong member of Red Sox Nation, as well as, Notre Dame Fighting Irish football fan. Florence was predeceased by her brother Ernest Risley, sister in law Patricia Ouellette, mother in law Hester Isabelle, Flo leaves behind her beloved best friend & husband of 60 years Leo E. Ouellette of Laconia; son Jeffrey & wife Dorothy of Plymouth; son Gary & wife Charlie of Lakeland, FL; son Robie & his companion Fran Randazzo of Laconia & Las Vegas; daughter Sherry & her companion Peter Burgess of St. John, Virgin Islands; grandson Jason Ouellette of Farmington, ME; granddaughter Denise Stevens of Lewiston, ME; great grandchildren James, Natanis, Alex, Jasmine, Tyler of Darlington, SC and Adalea Ouellette of Farmington, ME., nieces and nephews.
