Dorothy P. (Jean) Forsberg, 82, , of Meredith, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Golden View Health Care Center, in Meredith. Born in Meredith on March 7, 1932, she was the daughter of Harry E. Sr. and Frances (Roberts) Plummer. She was raised in Meredith, graduating from the Meredith High School, Class of 1950. Dorothy worked for the former House Restaurant, in Meredith, the former White Mountain Power Co., former Peter French’s Oil Service, and as an accountant for the Meredith News for 35 years. She was a member of the Meredith Congregational Church, Order of the Eastern Star Ellacoya Chapter #43; she served as the Grand Chaplain of the Grand Chapter of the NH O.E.S., as the Chairman of the Meredith Democrat Committee, as the clerk of the Meredith Zoning Board; she was a member and past President Altrusa Club, of Meredith, President and member of ILHS Band Boosters, ILHS Dollars for Scholars, President and Board member of the Circle Drive Association, and she was a member of the Meredith Historical Society. Dorothy is predeceased by her son Leonard C. Forsberg, Jr, in 1962, her brother, Harry E. Plummer Jr, who died in 2009. She is survived by her two sons, John H. Forsberg and his wife Virginia, of Moultonborough, Robert S. Forsberg and his finance Brenda Grad of Meredith; three daughters, Deborah A. Armitage and her husband Howard of Warwick, RI, Susan J. Stickney and her husband Fawn of Meredith, Cathy E. Forsberg, of Meredith; Eleven grandchildren, Taylor, Kelsea, Jason, Jeremy, Jessica, Kate, Ashley, Andrew, Danielle, Susan and Kirk, Eleven great-grandchildren;. Sister-in-Law June Plummer of Meredith; Dorothy is also survived by one niece and two nephews.
