Geralynn Anne Fountain, 47, of Meredith Center Road, died June 30, 2014 at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Jamaica, New York on January 15, 1967, she was the daughter of William T. and Madeline M. (Sommi) O’Brien. Geralynn grew up in Merrick, NY and graduated from Sanford H. Calhoun High School, class of 1985. She also graduated from Siena College, in Loudonville, NY. She resided in Rocky Point, NY before moving to Manchester, NH in October of 1999 and then to Meredith in 2002. Geralynn worked as a Quality Control Chemist for Altana Inc, in Melville, NY. For the past five years, Geralynn has been employed by the Inter-Lakes School District in the middle school as a Para Educator, where she has greatly enjoyed working with all the students. Geralynn is a communicant of Saint Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, in Meredith and was very active in church affairs as a volunteer and a religious educator. Geralynn enjoyed her garden, and loved to spent time tending to her flowers. Geralynn is survived by her husband Stephen J. Fountain and her daughter, Megan E. Fountain, both of Meredith, her parents, William and Madeline of Merrick, NY, brothers, William G. O’Brien of Bedford, NH, Thomas G. O’Brien of Deerfield, NH, Timothy G. O’Brien of Lutherville, MD and many nieces and nephews.
