Clauvis St. Cyr

Clauvis Emile St. Cyr, 82, of NH Route #175, died Thursday May 9, at his home, after a period of failing health. Born in Plymouth, NH on September 29, 1930, he was the son of Joseph E. and Agnes P. (Brown) St. Cyr. Clauvis grew up in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School. He has been a life-long resident of the Plymouth and Holderness area. Clauvis worked for over thirty years for the State of NH Liquor Commission and retired as the manager of the NH State Liquor Store in Plymouth. Clauvis was a member of the State of NH Employees Association, a life member (fifty plus years) of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #2312, in Plymouth, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Clauvis was a US Navy Korean War veteran and had served aboard the USS Putnam. Clauvis is survived by his sons, Barry L. St. Cyr and hid wife Linda, Timothy P St. Cyr, daughter Laurie M. Currier and son-in-law Richard D. Currier, all of Holderness, grandsons, Barry L. St. Cyr II, Marcus J. St. Cyr, William L. Currier, Tyler J. Currier, four great grandchildren, his sister, Mildred Haines of Ashland, nieces and nephews, and his long time companion, Priscilla Leonard, of Holderness. A graveside service will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Fairgrounds Road, Plymouth, on Tuesday, May 14, at 10am. The Rev. Edward J. Charest, pastor of the Plymouth United Methodist Church, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Disable Veteran Association, PO Box 4231, Concord, NH. 03301
