Virginia Gove

Virginia Catherine Gove, 89, of Goves Lane, died at her home on November 17, 2015, after a brief illness. Born in Melrose Massachusetts on April 10, 1926, she was the daughter of Francis and Julia (Baccigalupo) Mayne. Gini grew up in Melrose and graduated from Melrose Highlands High School. She resided in western Massachusetts for about five years and has been a resident of Wentworth since December of 1961. In her early years, Gini worked for over ten years as a clerk for the B&M Railroad in Boston. She worked for a short time at the former Sprague Electric in Plymouth and then served the town of Wentworth as their Post Master for thirty years, until her retirement at the age of eighty. Gini was very active in her community. She volunteered and help on many committee and boards such as; Wentworth Historical Society, the Planning Board, the Board of Selectman and served as secretary and treasurer of the School Board. The new gazebo in the town common was dedicated to her for her outstanding volunteerism to her community. Gini is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, William E. Gove of Wentworth, her daughter, Dawn M. Gove of Wentworth, her son, Andrew W. Gove and his wife Dorothy, of Penacook, three grandchildren, Stephanie, Matthew, and Zachary, one great grandchild, Caelum, several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wentworth Historical Society, PO Box 13, Wentworth, NH. 03282
