Gordon Edward “Gordie” Racine, 82, of Wheeler Lane, Rumney, died November 5, 2015, at the Mountain View Health Care Center, in Franklin, NH. Born in Center Harbor on April 5, 1933, he was the son of Harry J. and Josephine (McCormack) Racine. Gordon grew up in Center Harbor and attended Center Harbor schools. He resided in Center Harbor until 1975, when he moved to Rumney. Gordon owned and operated, for over fifty years, Gordie’s Pizza Wagon and during that time he opened the Flying Saucer Pizzeria, in Plymouth. He also worked for Plymouth State College in the Grounds Maintenance Department, for many years. During his retirement, he worked at Wal-Mart in Plymouth and sold camp fire wood. Gordon was predeceased by his wife of fifty years, Eleanor (Royea) Racine, who died in Feb. of 2005, her sons, Robert S Racine and William A. Racine. Gordon is survived by his son Eric D. Racine of Wentworth and daughter, Tammy Jo Joyce, of Rumney, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his sisters, Beverly Felton of Hudson, NH, Gloria Avery of Ocean Park, FL, numerous nieces and nephews and his significant-other of ten years, Marie Bachand, of Rumney.
