THORNTON— Frank J. Gleich, (85) of Thornton, New Hampshire passed away at home on November 4, 2015. Frank was born in Brooklyn, New York On May 10, 1930 the son of Ruldolf and Alma (During) Gleich. Frank grew up in Franklin Square, New York later moving to Levittown, New York to raise his family with his wife Geraldine (Gerry). Frank proudly served 35 years as a Nassau County Police Officer retiring on July 4, 1991. His lifelong passions include; long scenic drives, horses, fishing, hunting, and photography. Upon retirement, Frank and his loving wife Geraldine moved to the Catskills (Hortonville, NY) where he and Gerry enjoyed their country retirement. Frank is survived by his three children and their spouses; Son Warren and his wife Katie of Goffstown (NH), son Jim and his wife Brenda of Thornton (NH) and a daughter Kathy of Freeport (NY). His five grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Matthew, Hope, Grace and Patrick were his greatest joy. Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife of 42 years, Geraldine who passed away in 2005 in addition to his parents Rudolf and Alma. He will always be remembered as the fun, loving, kind, storytelling father and grandfather. There will be no calling hours at the request of the family. A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. Mayhew Funeral Homes and Meredith Bay Crematorium are assisting the family with arrangements.
