George Raymond Stone Jr. 65, of Manchester died, October 14, 2015 at Catholic Medical Center following a period of declining health. Born November 6, 1949 in Cambridge, MA to Doris Clinkard Stone and George R. Stone, “Skip” spent most of his childhood in Winchester, MA. He graduated Cum Laude from Suffolk University with a degree in journalism. He later worked for Evergreen Solar of Waltham, MA. Skip was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed long rides to the ocean or the mountains. He was a knowledgeable bird watcher and wildlife photographer. In 2002 Skip was severely disabled by a fall and eventually confined to a wheelchair. Thereafter he moved to NH to be closer to his family. Skip was predeceased by his father in 1989 and his mother in 2013. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Deachman and her husband Ross of Holderness, his niece, Amy Deachman of Holderness and his nephew W. John Deachman and his wife Karen of Bedford, and his great nieces Victoria Livingstone, Jessica and Peyton Deachman of Bedford. The family wishes to express its gratitude to Debra Burke of Crotched Mountain Community Care for many years of devoted service and kindness to Skip.
