Roger Edward Martin, (86) was taken to meet his Lord on July 26, 2015. Roger was born on March 11, 1929 to George E. and Eva Bates (Davis) Martin in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Roger was born and raised in Cumberland, Rhode Island and graduated from Cumberland High School in 1946. He served in the National Guard during the Korean War. He was a baker at Arnold’s Bakery in Lincoln, Rhode Island and then a mechanic at Maplehurst Dairy. Roger was married to Constance R. (Henault) on April 22, 1950 at St. Teresa’s Church in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Roger and Connie moved to Center Harbor, New Hampshire in 1976, then to Gilford in 2005, where he worked at Fred Madore Chevrolet in Plymouth. He retired in 1996. He was a communicant of First Congregational Church in Meredith, N.H. with Pastor Russell Rowland. Survivors include his wife Constance of 65 wonderful years, his children; Marsha (Martin-Drew) and her husband Elliott Cameron, James Martin, David and his wife Carlena, Valerie Breton and her husband Paul, Alan and his wife Michelle. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren in New Hampshire, Rhode Island and New York. Cousins Paul and(Cathy) Emerson, Bruce and (Carlene) Emerson and David and Terra Geraghty and their children also survive.
