Gail Roberta Pelczar, 75, of Meredith, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Born on December 18, 1938, in Campton; she was the daughter of Robert and Virginia (Hutt) Nichols. Gail was raised in Meredith, graduating from the Meredith High School. Over the years Gail held several positions with local Meredith businesses, including: the A&P grocery store, Annalee Dolls (she worked from home), Isabel’s Grocery Store on Main St., she was a secretary for the Meredith Visiting Nurses Assoc., and she also worked at the Sun Dial Store, in Meredith and Laconia, retiring from that position. Gail will be forever remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed camping with her family in Pittsburg, NH, for more than 40 years. She loved relaxing in the peaceful serenity, reading to pass the time while her boys and husband fished. Gail also loved to collect, her collections include her Cranberry Glass, and Boyd’s Bears. She also enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach and Florida with her husband in their later years. She is predeceased by her sister, Linda Stratsma. Gail is survived by her beloved husband of more than 53 years, Theodore “Ted” Pelczar, of Meredith; two sons, Ted Pelczar, Jr. and his wife Robin, of Center Harbor, Greg Pelczar and his wife Nancy, of Meredith; two sisters, Carol Davis and her husband Dick, of Meredith, Jackie Martin and her husband Dennis, of FL; two grandchildren, Brady Pelczar, of Meredith, and granddaughter, Jordan Pelczar, of Manchester. Gail is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many extended family members.
