Jane F. Jackson, 87, of Campton, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Pleasant View Center, in Concord, after a lengthy illness. Born in Concord, NH, on July 21, 1927, she was one of fifteen children of the late William and Eva (Connell) Murphy. Jane was raised in Concord graduating from the St. John Catholic High School. After graduating high school, Jane worked for the New Hampshire Liquor Commission, before becoming a bookkeeper for her late husband’s excavating business Jackson & Jackson, Inc. Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family. Jane is predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Karl W. Jackson, in 2006; five brothers, William, Paul, Robert, David, and John (all Murphy); eight sisters, Helen and Ellen (Murphy), Marion Farrar, Angela Davis, Rosanna Degnan, Mary Margaret Sargeant, Eva Jean Woods, and Winifred T. Beall. She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Debra Jackson and Sandra Hughes and husband Tom; two grandchildren, Derek and Danielle Todd; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Tuck and Patrick Todd; sister, Delores Degnan; and a sister-in-law, Theo O’Brien. Jane is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane’s memory to the Carmelite Monastery, 275 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301.
