Edna May Tyrrell, 76, born April 4, 1937, to Laura and Marvin Brown of Ashland, New Hampshire, passed away at Laconia Genesis Health Care, on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 after a lengthy illness.
Edna was one of twelve children. She married Bill Neil who passed away suddenly, and in 1970 she married Wayne L. Tyrrell, of Bridgewater. They have one daughter Jaclyn A. Tyrrell who still lives in New Hampshire.
At the age of fifty, after a long career in the manufacturing industry, Edna went back to school to become a nurse and spent a decade working in the home hospice field where she was a gentle angel bringing comfort and easing pain wherever she went. After her career in nursing she retired to the family’s home in Bridgewater, New Hampshire.
She was a devoted wife, beloved mother and cherished sister whose motto was “Family First, Last and Always”. Her goals in life always seemed to be to help others, bring a smile out of tears and do her small part to make the world a better place for all those she met. This tender soul who was always ready with a kind or encouraging word or a warm smile and a big hug will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to know her.
