Warren Stickney

Warren F. Stickney, 84, of Warren, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Hanover Terrace, Hanover, after a brief illness.

Born on June 7, 1929, in Brockton, MA, he was the youngest of four children of Homer R. and Mabel (Smith) Stickney. Warren was raised in East Bridgewater, MA attending local schools. Upon high school graduation Warren enlisted with the U.S. Army and served in Germany during the occupation after WWII.

In his life Warren worked as a machinist for the Potter Instrument Co, of Plainview, NY, I.P.C., Co., of Bristol, NH, and Newfound Tool Co., of Bridgewater, NH. Warren was a model train enthusiast who collected and built his own model railroads, he also enjoyed gardening and tending to his property at his home in his beloved town of Warren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family.

Warren is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Elizabeth L. (Gehring) Stickney, of Warren; two daughters, Chris Sokolowski and husband Stanley, of Aberdeen, MD, Barbara Lyons and husband Robert, of Lebanon, NH; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Mayhew Funeral Home (12 Langdon St.), Plymouth from 1:00pm through 3:00pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
