Alice Hubbert Forbes, 85, of Laconia, NH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2013 while listening to her favorite hymns.
Alice moved to her beloved New Hampshire after her husband of 56 years, Fred W. Forbes, Jr. passed away on December 8, 2011. Alice and Fred spent thirty five wonderful years in Federal Way, Washington, where she and her husband were avid church goers and volunteered for many local charitable events. They loved motor home traveling and had many friends in their “southern” home (their RV in Arizona). They loved to travel and enjoyed many vacations throughout the world, but their favorite place was Pocumtuck, their cabin, built by Alice’s grandparents, on Tuftonboro Neck, where they spent every summer enjoying family and friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Fred, and her sister, Joie B Hubbert.
She is survived by her three wonderful children, Bryan and his wife Waneta of Plymouth, NH,
Barry and his wife Jaime of Commerce Township, MI, and Wendy Forbes, who moved to Laconia, NH with Alice to be her caregiver for the last year and a half; three grandchildren Katlyn, Tyler and his wife Rayssa, and Brittney. Alice also loved animals and we cannot forget her fuzzy grandchildren, Keba and Mr. Kitty, and her roommates, Magik and Molly.
Alice touched every person she ever met with her amazing spirit and engaging smile. She was an inspiration to her children, her grandchildren, and countless people throughout her life.
